My favorite food

One of the traditional dishes of the Chilean countryside is the field chicken casserole, worth the redundancy, the casserole is originally from the central zone of Chile, having its origins in the times of the Spanish conquest, here is the mixture of ingredients; on the one hand those that are native to our lands such as squash, potatoes and traditional meat.

Ingredients:

A whole chicken, potatoes, a carrot, two cloves of garlic, half a paprika, a sprig of celery, pieces of corn, pieces of pumpkin, rice, seasonings and salt to taste.

Preparation:

In a pot we put the chicken pieces together with the garlic, the carrot, the paprika and the dressings. To this, a little oil is added to fry the prey and others, once they are somewhat golden, almost two liters of boiling water are added to the pot. Then we let it boil for twenty minutes to incorporate the potatoes, the pumpkin, the corn, the celery and the rice, we return to boil for another twenty minutes so that everything is well cooked.

After 20 minutes it is ready to serve. A warm casserole is perfect for a cold day or to recharge your batteries, as it contains many nutrients and proteins.

I love casserole because I have known it since I can remember, I remember being with my whole family eating it, debating who will eat a certain part of the chicken, they always give the children the best parts, in my case it is still like that, I still let us choose first hahaha.

A casserole unites the family and gives us good moments and various nutrients, it will help us to be healthy, for something the saying: if you are very sick or thin, you lack casseroles.
